All Royal Gorge trips and 1/2 Day Bighorn Sheep Canyon morning and afternoon trips leave from this office. Book trips from this office if you are coming from Colorado Springs or Denver.
From Colorado Springs take I-25 south to Exit 135 for CO 115. Travel CO 115 to US Hwy 50 West to Cañon City. Continue on US Hwy 50 West for 3 miles to our Cañon City (Royal Gorge) office. (1 hour)
From Denver take I-25 south to Exit 135 for CO 115. Travel CO 115 to US Hwy 50 West to Cañon City. Continue on US Hwy 50 West for 3 miles to our Cañon City (Royal Gorge) office. (2 hrs.)
Trips that leave from Cotopaxi include Full Day Bighorn Sheep Canyon, Cottonwood Family floats, 1/2 Day Bighorn Sheep Canyon, all River and Rail packages, Brown’s Canyon trips and all float fishing trips. Book 1/2 Day Bighorn Sheep Canyon trips from this office if you are staying in the local area, Westcliffe or any town west of Cotopaxi.
From Colorado Springs take 1-25 south to Exit 135 for CO 115. Travel CO 115 to US Hwy 50 West to Cañon City. Continue on US Hwy 50 West for 29 miles. We are right on the highway along the Arkansas River, 1/4 mile west of the Cotopaxi Store.
From Salida take US Hwy 50 East 23 miles to Cotopaxi. We are right on the highway along the Arkansas River, 1/4 mile west of the Cotopaxi Store.
All of our Clear Creek white water rafting and Colorado River float trips depart from our Dumont, CO outpost. This shared business space will have our signage prominently featured.
It is recommended that you save our directions in case of cellular service loss while navigating to our outpost.
Directions From Denver (45 Minutes):
Start by heading west on I-70 West from Denver.
Continue on I-70 West for about 33 miles.
Take Exit 234 for US-40 W toward Empire/Granby.
Keep right at the fork, follow signs for US-40 W and merge onto US-40 West.
Continue on US-40 West for about 2.5 miles.
Turn right onto County Rd 308.
Continue on County Rd 308 for about 1 mile.
Destination 999 County Rd 308, Dumont, CO 80436 will be on your left.
Major airports are located in Denver and Colorado Springs. Rental cars are available at both airports. Uber and Lyft rides are very challenging to return from our office to the metropolitan areas and not recommended.
